Nathalie Peregrine:and the AC room.
Nathalie Peregrine:Luc Seufer has joined the call
Nathalie Peregrine:Kiran Malancharuvil has joined the AC room
Mary Wong:I'm sending the document even as Don is speaking :)
Griffin Barnett:we support that proposed order of topics
Graeme Bunton:Good morning Thomas!
Thomas Rickert:Hi Graeme, hello everybody!
Luc Seufer:Hallo Thomas
Thomas Rickert:Hi Luc
Nathalie Peregrine:Kathy Kleiman has joined the call
Kathy:Sorry for being late; unscheduled file alarm :-(
Kathy:fire alarm
Nathalie Peregrine:Carlton Samuels has joined the call
Carlton Samuels:Morning all
steve metalitz:This doc does not list any prelim conclusions?
Nathalie Peregrine:Justin Macy has joined the call
Mary Wong:The TBA items start at the bottom of pg 2 and the top of pg 3
Holly Raiche:Much appreciatd Graeme - and Steve
Nathalie Peregrine:David Hughes is on the audio bridge
Kathy:Similarly, we should bring some Data Protection Commissioners or senior staff to discuss issues with us as well.
Holly Raiche:Agree with Kathy as well
Graeme Bunton:Yep. Kathy's suggestion too
Luc Seufer:agreed. Better to have a broader view.
Holly Raiche:What about Stephanie?
Chris Pelling:+1 Kathy
Mary Wong:Are WG members able to provide contacts/names, or perhaps extend the invitations? Staff are happy to assist but we don't necessarily have the contacts, and it may be more appropriate to work from WG member suggestions.
Luc Seufer:she may know rep. of the DPA
Nathalie Peregrine:Kristina Rosette has joined the Ac room
Luc Seufer:and I think Volker has contacts at the German one
steve metalitz:I will provide some contacts from LEAs after the LA meeting.
Mary Wong:Thanks, Steve and all!
Kristina Rosette:Suggestion: If we want to invite Law Enforcement and Data Protection officials, I highly recommend that we extend the invitation through the GAC. In other words, let the GAC know that we're interested in hearing from those folks, identify our timeline, and request that those experts be identified to us by that timeline. Every time ICANN reaches out directly (or indicates it will or is asked to do so), the GAC objects and insists that those requests should come through them.
Kristina Rosette:Apologies if I've missed it: Where did we end up w/r/t devices and email for the F2F?
Graeme Bunton:Carlton - please mute
Mary Wong:@Kristina, laptops for note taking and minimal mobile phone use (receive urgent calls and texts but step outside to actually talk)
Chris Pelling:open mic ?
Carlton Samuels:Audio gone!
Nathalie Peregrine:Carlton, I muted your mic
Nathalie Peregrine:please log out and back in, if AC audio still has issues, I can dial out to you
Kristina Rosette:@Mary: Can you help me understand this? I thought that there was widespread objection to the staff rule. Is staff overruling the community here?
Mary Wong:@Kristina, I don't think so - it's still a proposal TBA first thing Friday.
Kristina Rosette:@Mary: OK. Understood your message to mean that's what had been decided.
Chris Pelling:that was my understanding too Steve
Chris Pelling:Just emerfency and activity for the meeting, not your actual job etc
Nathalie Peregrine:Phil Marano hs joined the call
Marika Konings:And just to clarify, this has never been a 'staff rule' but a proposed group agreement (and as Mary said, to be confirmed by the group at the start of the meeting)
Graeme Bunton:imagine?!
Chris Pelling:PLease can we make sure that remote participation is sent well beforehand ?
Carlton Samuels:@Nathalie: I'm getting audio now altho Don is very low.
Chris Pelling:so that I can get sorted for the long day etc
Mary Wong:@Chris, noted - thank you and we'll do our very best
Chris Pelling:Cheers Mary :)
Chris Pelling:ok, have fun all
Holly Raiche:See everyone Friday
Kathy:Tx!
Kathy:Safe travels
Graeme Bunton:thanks everyone,s afe travels
Darcy Southwell:Thank you.
Carlton Samuels:Bye all
