Holly Raiche: (15:02) @ Maureen - sorry about earlier. Last night was the 1-4 call, plus full day and then last night, I thought I had to be on the EpDp again so up at 1 - to realise Seun was on the call.
Maureen Hilyard: (15:04) You are forgiven.. we gave all the ARIWG workgroups to be under your control.. LOL
Holly Raiche: (15:04) @ Maureen - I'm not sure how to thank you, but I"ll think of a way...
judith Hellerstein: (15:04) @evin, please add me to the present list
Evin Erdoğdu: (15:05) Okay Judith noted, thanks
Holly Raiche: (15:06) The 11-15 Feb - should be quiet time
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:08) The GNSO COuncil is holdong an additional single purpose meeting of Feb 14th
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:08) for EPDP
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:09) the 21 Feb is our usual Meeting Date for Feb
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:09) hopefully the GNSO Council will not need to reconven on March 4 ;-)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:13) Thanks @Hadia
Holly Raiche: (15:13) Thanks Hadia - well done
Bartlett Morgan: (15:13) thanks Hadia
Maureen Hilyard: (15:14) Thank you Hadia for this great update..
Jonathan Zuck: (15:14) remember "reasonable access" or whatever IS in the temp spec
Holly Raiche: (15:14) @ Jonathan - which is an issue still to be finalised
Jonathan Zuck: (15:15) yep
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:17) well the ALAC should be well informed as not all are in this WG @Holly yes as THEY will be voting to ratify etc.,
Jonathan Zuck: (15:17) agree we should have a dedicated call
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:17) and strongly encourage ALAC et.al to attend
Holly Raiche: (15:18) @CLo - absolutely agree- ALAC willl be voting and needs to understand it all
Maureen Hilyard: (15:18) I agree with Jonathan that we have a dedicated call of the CPWG so that we get everyone's views.but the ALAC would be almost mandatory because of the important vote
Holly Raiche: (15:19) 2 Hadia - good call - the week of Feb 11 is 'quiet time' just for the EpEP to review
Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond: (15:20) when is it best to have the call?
Maureen Hilyard: (15:20) next week would be good.. I am travelling during the following week
Jonathan Zuck: (15:20) what will we be discussing in early March?
Holly Raiche: (15:21) Suggested points: access, Legal vs natural persons, (dealing with the Tem Spec)
Jonathan Zuck: (15:22) Holly you think those will be the discussions at ICANN 64?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:22) Just avoid the actual GNSO Meeting time please ;-)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:22) ;-)
Andrea Glandon: (15:23) 14 Feb 21:00 UTC for the GNSO meeting
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:23) GNSO Meeting is Thur at 2100 UTC
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:23) snap @Andrea
Andrea Glandon: (15:24) ;)
Holly Raiche: (15:24) 2 Jonathan - depends on the next couple of meetings. By that time, it may be the whole issue of access and the temp spec. The other issue was a proposed purpose which has been put off - Research - but that wasn't huge. The other - what elements are collected, and then publoished. As Alan pointed out, we need to collect eno;ugh to actually contact the registrant as required - again, depends on the next meeting.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:25) Yes OCL
Bartlett Morgan: (15:25) hearing you
Holly Raiche: (15:26) And Hadia is right - the emails back and forth are huge
Maureen Hilyard: (15:27) @ Holly I bet!
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:27) thank you all
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:27) and then you have Phase @ :-)
Holly Raiche: (15:27) @ Maureen - you're not wrong!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:27) Phase 2
Maria Korniiets: (15:28) Hello! Sorry for being late(
Holly Raiche: (15:28) @@ CLO - in which case, Phase 3 willl be created so as to deal with the harder bits....
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:28) LOL oh yea of little faith @Holly
Greg Shatan: (15:29) I will volunteer to look at it.
Holly Raiche: (15:29) I wasn't sure what to say about it
Carlton Samuels: (15:29) Howdy all. Apologies for late engagement with this conversation
Lutz Donnerhacke: (15:29) No echo, but distorted
Greg Shatan: (15:29) It sounds like you are in a beautiful big cathedral
Carlton Samuels: (15:30) Yes, sound distorted of the previous speaker
judith Hellerstein: (15:31) Can you fix up the page as it is cut off
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:31) perfect JZ
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:32) Just a simple supporting statement
Maureen Hilyard: (15:32) Google doc for FY20 budget and operating plan: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_document_d_15te30csd02oyL-2D-5FbqEan-2DjWjU0YXGHHCH9SqwSJuAsY_edit-23heading-3Dh.rv8a2owshyek&d=DwIFaQ&c=FmY1u3PJp6wrcrwll3mSVzgfkbPSS6sJms7xcl4I5cM&r=k7uKdjSb7_ZjItyVqrCYHo_rKms9SFxlmbYEJqG-y9I&m=7I-KdOS-YmpmqFK0l3DKvKEOydYFYIhCXAyhJ_dbtiU&s=jowNg6GK8QdQTIWc4J7wwCOiqkjbfsm4YNRZJlIP7Fw&e=
Greg Shatan: (15:32) I would support a support statement for the Review Standards
Andrea Glandon: (15:34) Judith, you are very low
Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond: (15:34) Judith ounds very distant
Heidi Ullrich: (15:34) Judith, we can't hear you very well.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:34) really can't here
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:34) hear
Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond: (15:34) mic doesn't work
Bartlett Morgan: (15:34) low for me too
Andrea Glandon: (15:34) Or we can dial out to you
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:35) back on adobe
Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond: (15:35) she is going to change the mic.
judith Hellerstein: (15:35) let me try and call in
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:35) SIGH
Andrea Glandon: (15:35) Judith happy to call out to you if you would like
Evin Erdoğdu: (15:35) Much better
Andrea Glandon: (15:36) better

Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:38) @Jonathan I am not sure about what we need to be discussing in March, however I guess all the known recommendations that are going to be discussed in phase 2 will be good topics to discuss
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:39) it also allows us to take some things in better 'order' and not deal with several things ABR's at the same time as the PC on FY Budget and Strat Planning concurrently for example
avri doria: (15:40) non discrentioary defined as expenses due to policy and other community decsions.
Holly Raiche: (15:40) @ Jonathan - really good question - both why the high non-disccressionary and priority order
Holly Raiche: (15:41) Thanks Avri
Jonathan Zuck: (15:41) still too high to consider non discretionary i think
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:46) There is SO much more details that can be reported and we need to work with the Finance Team to help us get all the information the EC 'requires'
Yrjö Länsipuro: (15:46) To beging with, 50% goes to staff costs
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:46) Understand your point, I will bring it up at the next opportunity with the FandB group as well
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:47) can you make that a long(ish) term AI for me please staff?
Evin Erdoğdu: (15:47) @Cheryl sure will follow up with you on AI
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:48) thx
Abdulkarim Oloyede: (15:51) I think its a good idea to build capacity in PDP process. It would really be usefull. AFRALO memebers today asked for it durring our montthly meeting and personally, I find it useful. If it is going to be in Kobe please make sure er can paticipate remotely. Thanks
Alfredo Calderon (NARALO): (15:51) In addition to Capacity Building for ATLAS III after individuals are accepted.
Joanna Kulesza: (15:52) good call OCL
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:52) we're a day ahead actually not just a Sun Rise
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:53) DO Remember there is a whole DAY of new GTLDs work on Sat in the *actual* PDP and another session on Wed as well
Maureen Hilyard: (15:53) The Cook Islands is the last to see Sunset!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:53) indeed Maureen
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:53) Thank you Joanna
judith Hellerstein: (15:53) sorry for the low volume I am in israel still and it was past 11:30pm and my host was going to sleep so had to speak a bit softer
Holly Raiche: (15:54) @ Jonathan - maybe start with what policy discussions- and coordinate with you
Maureen Hilyard: (15:54) There will be a specific Capacity Building session during ICANN64
Holly Raiche: (15:55) What we can also do in capacity building is staart from first principl,es - how it works, what resoources are available, what ALAC has said, etc.
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:55) @judith it is also past 11:30 at my end :)
judith Hellerstein: (15:56) but you are at home and I am at a friends house ad he was going to bed
Abdulkarim Oloyede: (15:56) i agree with Holly.
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:57) @Judith yes I get it - you need to whisper
judith Hellerstein: (15:57) I welcome everyone's ideas and comments on the 2 year budget comment
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (15:58) Thanks Judith
Carlton Samuels: (15:58) @CLO +1 A session at Kobe is Only useful if it is complementary to whats going on in the PDPs now in train'\!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:58) how many of those folks are at a F2F meeting in Kobe is of course also the question, all about audience and activities to be timely and fit for purpose ;-)
sergio salinas porto: (15:58) im droped!
Holly Raiche: (15:59) In which case, use stuff from ICANN learn, plus from hhe ALAC perspective, our/
Holly Raiche: (15:59) ALA
Holly Raiche: (15:59) C p9olicy toold and processes
Greg Shatan: (15:59) Nothing to add
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (15:59) LOL
Holly Raiche: (15:59) Not sure what happen4ed, what I tried to say is that we start with ICANN Learn, but with an ALAC perspective on policy development
Hadia Elminiawi (ALAC): (16:00) agree with you holly
Carlton Samuels: (16:00) Dropped from the Adigo bridge TWICE!
Abdulkarim Oloyede: (16:00) Yes i think so
Daniel K. Nanghaka: (16:00) i think it is a good idea
Abdulkarim Oloyede: (16:01) Yes answering to Alfredo
Joanna Kulesza: (16:01) yes @Jon
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (16:02) Deffinalty is JZ no argument there
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (16:02) but we tend to talk about doing policy not about policy per se a lot ;-)
Carlton Samuels: (16:02) @Jonathan: Sounds reasonable to get to specifics now in front of a PDP
Cheryl Langdon-Orr (@CLO3): (16:03) a Prep Week indeed @Greg
Alfredo Calderon (NARALO): (16:04) Yes, with a 1-week preparation webinars.

Joanna Kulesza: (16:06) I'm wondering if there are any At-Large specific policy persepctives that might not be in focus of the prep-week? As those would be more general?
