I am nominating myself as a candidate for the position of NomCom Representative for the AFRALO region for the following reasons:

a) I am volunteering myself as I am ready to devote part of my time to NomCom teleconferences and other activities. I will also make myself available for the NomCom face to face meetings

b) I have the support of the ALS from my geographic region

c) I can confirm that I have the required quality from the candidates, namely:

  • Accomplished persons of integrity, objectivity, and intelligence, with reputations for sound judgment and open minds, and with experience and competence with collegial large group decision-making
  • Persons with wide contacts, broad experience in the Internet community, and a commitment to the success of ICANN;
  • Persons whom the selecting body is confident will consult widely and accept input in carrying out their responsibilities;
  • Persons who are neutral and objective, without any fixed personal commitments to particular individuals, organizations, or commercial objectives in carrying out their Nominating Committee responsibilities;
  • Persons with an understanding of ICANN's mission and the potential impact of ICANN's activities on the broader Internet community who are willing to serve as volunteers, without compensation other than the reimbursement of certain expenses; and
  • Persons who are able to work and communicate in written and spoken English.

d) I have being preparing myself since the first ICANN meeting that I attended in Portugal in 2007. During the ICANN meeting in Mexico, I took part in some information sessions organized by the NomCom

Je me nomme en tant que candidat pour le poste de NomCom représentant la région AFRALO pour les raisons suivantes:

a) je me porte en bénévolat car je suis prêt à consacrer une partie de mon temps aux téléconférences NomCom et autres activités.
Je vais également me rendre disponible pour les reunions face à face du NomCom

b) j'ai le soutien de l'ALS de ma région géographique

c) Je peux confirmer que j'ai la qualité requise des candidats, à savoir:

  • Personnes d'intégrité accompli, d'objectivité et d'intelligence, avec la réputation de jugement solide et un esprit ouvert, et avec l'expérience et la compétence face a des décision collégiales dans un grand groupe.
  • Personnes ayant des contacts, une vaste expérience dans la communauté Internet, et un engagement envers le succès de l'ICANN;
  • Personnes dont l'organe de sélection est confiant qu'il consultera largement et acceptera l'apport dans l'accomplissement de leurs responsabilités;
  • Les personnes qui sont neutres et objectives, sans aucun engagement fixe personnel à des particuliers, des organismes ou des objectifs commerciaux à s'acquitter de leurs responsabilités du NomCom;
  • Personnes ayant une compréhension de la mission de l'ICANN et l'impact potentiel des activités de l'ICANN sur la communauté plus large d'Internet qui sont disposés à offrir bénévolement, sans contrepartie autre que le remboursement de certaines dépenses, et
  • Personnes qui sont capables de travailler et de communiquer en anglais écrit et parlé.

d) Je me prépare depuis la premiere réunion de l'ICANN auquelle j'ai assisté au Portugal en 2007. Au cours de la réunion de l'ICANN au Mexique, j'ai pris part à certaines séances d'information organisées par le NomCom
