- "Declaration of support from LACRALO, which represents the interests of end Internet users within the framework of the ICANN community, supports and subscribes to the recent statement issued by EURALO with regards to the situation of Internet users in the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. We also ask the ICANN Board to take extreme measures to guarantee the stability and resilience of the Domain Name system infrastructure in countries in conflict and around the world."
- Statement of Maureen Hilyard, Chair of the ALAC:
As the Chair of the At-Large Advisory Committee, I welcome the EURALO communique of March 1st, 2022 regarding the geopolitical situation in Ukraine. In my personal capacity, I endorse the statement in its entirety, particularly in relation to ensuring uninterrupted Internet access of individual end-users in times of political turmoil and in regions of conflict. I call on the ICANN Community and the ICANN Board to diligently stand by their roles as shepherds of the stability and resiliency of key internet resources.
