  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:It's just a cheaper ICANN meeting. Only due to COSTS. That's it. Full Stop. It is making the ICANN week even shorter.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):Olivier as you know the location and time of year has also challenged us

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:when we asked for more time to meet face to face, we are given less time

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:ICANN Staff calls it a Policy meeting.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:it is a curbing of responsibilities by ICANN. This not at all what the Meetings Strategy Working Group has asked for.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:This is ICANN gone wild.

  Maureen Hilyard:For this meeting, ccNSO has organised cross-community discussion sessions to which ALAC has been invited ( for example, Tuesday afternoon GAC & ccNSO meeting to discuss the GAC survey of their ccTLDs and also the PDP on the Review Mechanism for decisions on delegation; they are also looking into a CC meeting with GAC and GNSO to discuss the country and territory names issue

  Holly Raiche:But also recognise that there is merit in what Maureen has been doing

  Heidi Ullrich:Perhaps having criteria for WG and their leadership as well as an onboarding program for the WG leadership.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):  Charters  where used  can still be light touch  IMO  and many CCWGs  just refer to the optional use  of the existing PDP WG guidelines where they aree used in the SO's

  Heidi Ullrich:Also, regular reporting to the ALAc on the ALAC calls might be useful as it gives the leadership a public forum to report their progress (or lack-thereof)
