Adam Palmer is the Law & Policy Counsel for “.ORG”, The Public Interest Registry based in Washington DC. Adam works on Internet policy issues dealing with cyber security, e-commerce, privacy, and Internet governance.
Adam is a member of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Registry Constituency, the Anti Phishing Working Group (APWG) Internet Policy Committee, and the International Trademark Association Internet Committee.
Adam is an adjunct law professor at 2 top 50 US law schools where he teaches courses on Internet crime. In 2007 Adam worked as Chief Cyber Security Counsel for online brand protection company Cyveillance in Washington DC. From 2003-2006 Adam served as the Director of the Office of Legal Counsel for The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). NCMEC is the largest US private nonprofit organization to combat Internet crimes against children. From 2000-2003, Adam served as a U.S. Navy JAG Trial Counsel in Hawaii and he continues as a cyber crime prosecution trainer for the U.S. Army JAG Corps. Adam has personally prosecuted numerous Internet crime cases as a JAG Trial Counsel.
Adam earned his law degree in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration in 2003. Adam is admitted to practice law in the U.S. jurisdictions of Indiana, South Carolina, Washington D.C. and Virginia.
