Cintra Sooknanan:and me :)
Joly MacFie:Glenn - the (litho printed?) brochures from ICANN were far superior to any lasr version - since the type is so small - that's the only option
seth reiss:Cintra, I think they are talking about the Review Group - I thought you were on the other group?
Glenn McKnight:Is staff going to place the order for brochures and how many?
Cintra Sooknanan:Hi Seth, you're right Im on the gTLD WG but observing the RG work and liaising between both groups

Garth Bruen 2:As Beau mentioned RAA 378 is not enforcable, the WIRT confirmed this
Garth Bruen 2:I sent this out over the weekend
Garth Bruen 2:I'd like you to take a look at this ICANN flowchart entitled "ICANN Compliance Program for Registries and Registrars"
Garth Bruen 2:http://www.icann.org/en/resources/compliance/flowchart
Garth Bruen 2:First, run through the flow a few times in your mind. What does Compliance REALLY do according to this chart?
Garth Bruen 2:Second, run through the flow with the specific hypothetical of a contracted party who is in breach of the contract.
Garth Bruen 2:There are only three paths in this flow. 1) the complaint is dismissed out of hand by Compliance, 2) the complaint is "resolved" with the contracted party, OR 3) there is an endless loop of data collection from the complainant.
Garth Bruen 2:There is no enforcement avenue in this scheme, it is not part of their function.
Glenn McKnight:Hard to hear
Garth Bruen 2:If one takes this flowchart to be true, the function of Compliance is to throw complaints away or place them in a holding pattern of paper shuffling. This is not an outside evaluation of the process, this is ICANN's own presentation.
seth reiss:stepped away
seth reiss:back
Alan Greenberg:I've got to go now. Good call.
Evan Leibovitch:Thanks all.
Gordon Chillcott:thanks, all!
Cintra Sooknanan:bye bye ...
