Ricardo Holmquist - ISOC Venezuela:hello all, hello Terri
Terri Agnew:Welcome Jason Hynds
Jason Hynds:Hi. Thanks.
Heidi Ullrich:Hi All, Do any of you still have LACRALO business cards from Buenos Aries?
Heidi Ullrich:We are planning on updating the LACRALO brochure this summer, so are low on the LACRALO brochures
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/atlarge/pages/99561859/Outreach+Materials
Jason Hynds:Thanks
Alan Greenberg:If there have been operational problems, people should deal with staff when the problems occur.
Heidi Ullrich:This is an ICANN Slideshare page: http://www.slideshare.net/icannpresentations/presentations/
Heidi Ullrich:Documents: http://www.slideshare.net/icannpresentations/documents
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:A problem with slideshare is that the resolution of the slides are poor - not good for printing
Alberto Soto:Yes Dev, no problem
Heidi Ullrich:ICANN's Multimedia page: https://www.icann.org/news/multimedia?category=Infographic
Harold Arcos:+1
Harold Arcos:Yes is possible
Jason Hynds:I may be interested in CaribNOG. I'm usually a participant occasionally in person or remotely. It was what brought me deeper into ICANN participation.
Alan Greenberg:But we DO have to allow for the At-Large review.
Alan Greenberg:The deadline should include this.
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:so mid April is around the time for review and CROPP deadline
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:But the proposals would have to be submitted by next week
Alan Greenberg:My comment was based on Alberto earlier saying (or at least the translation said) that it is possible that all slots may not be used..
Terri Agnew 2:Please remember to mute when not speaking on both telephone and adobe connect
Alberto Soto:much noise online
Terri Agnew 2:Welcome Carlton Samuels
Carlton Samuels:Howdy all
Heidi Ullrich:Welcome, Carlton .
Carlton Samuels:Each one reach one!
Carlton Samuels:The whole point is to have more hands to work!
Carlton Samuels:Fellows - who would have demonstrate some interest in ICANN - are the best ones to make the contact lcoally!
Alan Greenberg:Usually the problem is finding people to take on this kind of outreach. Not having too many who want to do it.
Jason Hynds:With respect to the cold contacts: What is in it for them?
Carlton Samuels:@Alan: Exactly!
Carlton Samuels:So the bigger the group to target the greater the probability of getting a few more! The fact is the few of us who already meaningfully engaged in real policy development work, such as engaged in WGs, are overworked.
Alan Greenberg:Hopefully anyone interested in O&E is active in the O&E WG, so there should be no problem keeping everyone informed.
Carlton Samuels:@Jason: All we can offer is communion with other policy wonks....and a whole lot of hard work!
Jason Hynds:Well there will be some individuals found in various territories. But where an association is found I think we have to visit theeir meeting remotely or face-to-face rather than expecting them to visit our webinar from the outset. Also the webinar invite will only have a few persons rather than speaking to the entire organisation that we want as an ALS. This does not seem a good strategy, sell At-Large to the entire body first. Then further build capacity of the interested persons and assigned representatives. of the group.
