2023 Action Items: AFRALO ROP Working Group Call

• A webinar on the Operating Principles  will be organized with the purpose of raising awareness about the rules and providing a brief historical review as background.  
• Alan Greenberg will be invited to give an overview of the main points of the Mobilization WP Final report. 
• Abdeldjalil Bachar Bong  and Isaac Maposa will coordinate on the date of the Webinar with staff and the next WG call to be held in January 2024.
• Michelle DeSmyter to send a doodle to schedule the next AFRALO ROP call, offering Jan 24 and 25 at 17-18 UTC times.

2023-09-28 AFRALO ROP Working Group Call

• Silvia Vivanco to send a call for membership with the scope of work as reminder to the membership to Abdel and Isaac for review. Call for membership will be  open for 10 days.
• Isaac Maposa  and Abdeldjalil Bachar Bong will edit the WG timeline document adjusting deadlines according to the agreements of the call.
• The WG agreed that the 1st webinar will be held week of November 13.
• Abdeldjalil Bachar Bong and Isaac Maposa will prepare slides for the Webinar and will send to WG for input.
• Silvia Vivanco to send links with the other RALOs Operating Principles to WG members.
• Michelle DeSmyter to subscribe new WG members to the WG mailing list after the call for membership closes.
• Michelle DeSmyter to put the Operating principles into a google doc
• Michelle DeSmyter to organize the next call  (with a doodle ) after the ICANN 78 meeting in November.

July 12 2023

The WG identified 2 options as next steps. 

Option 1: present report of Phase 1 at the GA as input to the next phase 2.
Option 2 : present the report of phase 1 at the GA for approval before moving to phase 2.

A poll was conducted, which resulted in a tie.

• Abdeldjalil Bachar Bong and Isaac Maposa will lead the work of the status report in the google doc  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vVcGU50m7SKWr_0Q70TmHCCK1PK6jIxUOj_nBQ8exZY/edit - to present it at the Pre-GA webinar and the GA in Ghana. The co-chairs requested the WG to provide their inputs directly into the google doc by Friday July 14.

July 03 2023 

• Staff to put  the AFRALO Operating Principles document in a google doc  and send the link to WG members. 
• Staff to put the document  AFRALO Operating Principles WG  Terms of Reference in a google doc and send the link to WG members.
• Michelle DeSmyter  to schedule the next call for Wednesday July 12 at 16 UTC for 90 minutes .
• staff to create a Skype chat for this WG.
