Simonetta Batteiger: sorry for being late...
Simonetta Batteiger: just joined
Nathalie Peregrine: Simonettea has joined the call
Chris Chaplow: Waht does DBA stand for?
Nathalie Peregrine: Rob Golding has joined the call
Simonetta Batteiger: DBA = Doing Business As
Chris Chaplow: Thanks
Simonetta Batteiger: You file this with the city in Massachusetts
Simonetta Batteiger: and then it's a legal entity in MA
Simonetta Batteiger: but it could be different state by state in the US
Bladel: I think it is different by state. Fun!
Rob Golding (Othello): Exactly what Michele says is the same in UK
Simonetta Batteiger: so is it as simple as an either/or, that both the registrant OR the organization mentioned in WhoIs may approve?
Simonetta Batteiger: Chris: that could very well be the case ase each registrar creates their own forms for new domain registrations and then translates them "somehow" into a registraion record
Michele Neylon: Simonetta - we woudln't be looking at whois only
Rob Golding (Othello): organisation isn't mandatory, its an optional whois field (role becomes mandatory if there is an org)
Chris Chaplow: Yes WG response to the commment is that if the reg is done properly the organisation field will have been completed and a change of personel can be updated. This assumes that the organisation field is always available. In WHOIS of tarifadirect.com I do not see it.
Bob Mountain: Sorry I lost connectivity, which line are we on?
Simonetta Batteiger: which is what an auth code can do
Simonetta Batteiger: but an FOA can't
Paul Diaz (RySG): @Bob, #23 (p.12)
Michele Neylon: I wll be unavailable
Simonetta Batteiger: will likely not be there next week
Michele Neylon: we're all off to Brussels
Michele Neylon: or Diegem
Michele Neylon: yay
Michele Neylon: or something
Rob Golding (Othello): wooo !
Rob Golding (Othello): still not sure i f i can go, lincx meetings, datacentre meetings and stuff going on here :(
Michele Neylon: send a minion :)
Mikey O'Connor: i want a minion
Michele Neylon: Mikey - you can have one of mine if you want :)
Bob Mountain: Thanks James
