Adobe Chat transcript for 13 February 2013:

Berry Cobb: Welcome to the 13 FEB 2013 IGO-INGO Conference call.

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): Hi all, Kiran, Jim and David are here and on the phone.

Gisella Gruber-White: Kiran - would you be so kind as to confirm David's surname

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): Heasley! Sorry, I was a minute too late on that one.

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): Thanks Gisella

Gisella Gruber-White: Thank you

Avri Doria: So we are still without an answer on International law?

Gisella Gruber-White: Debra Hughes has joined the call

Gisella Gruber-White: Osvaldo Novoa has joined the call

Osvaldo Novoa: Hi All, Sorry I'm late

Evan Leibovitch: +1 Avri

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): +1 Thomas

Alan Greenberg: Am I the only one with a big blank area in the middle of the window Berry is sharing??

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): I am experiencing that as well Alan

Gisella Gruber-White: Same here

Mary Wong: If u stare really, really hard, you can see a white rabbit :) :)

Evan Leibovitch: Thank you very much for this work. This is the kind of hard evidence that helps establish whether abuse is real or imagined

Evan Leibovitch: (of course there are some grey areas, such as the judgement of whether a monetizing squatter constitutes "abuse" or "harm"

Evan Leibovitch: (the yellow sqares on the chart)

Greg Shatan: That doesn't seem like much of a gray area to me.

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): +1 Greg

Evan Leibovitch: Is to me.

Greg Shatan: Remind me to monetize evanleibovitch.com .

Evan Leibovitch: you're welcome to it

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): prohibition by law is pretty black and white to us.

Evan Leibovitch: IThen use the law.

Evan Leibovitch: Actually, Greg. evanleibovitch.* will be unbought by me in any new gTLDs. You're wlecome to them too.

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): The law need not only be applied reactively.

Greg Shatan: No, thanks. I don't want to break the law.

Alan Greenberg: I know they extracted lots of money from not-for-profit universities.

Greg Shatan: This is supposed to be a self-regulatory body, among other things. UDRP was created not because there was no law to enforce., but because it was in the best interests of Internet stakeholders to have a cost-effective mechanism to deal with domain name infringement issues and to forestall costly potential litigation that might have had uncertain and far-reaching consequences.

Greg Shatan: Not the Martlet?!

Evan Leibovitch: I have no problem with IGOs and INGOs having access to URS and UDRP. It's asking for broader protections -- ones not even available for trandemark holders -- that is at issue

Evan Leibovitch: +1 Alan

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): +1 Thomas

Evan Leibovitch: +1 Greg

Avri Doria: i hate the name MRNLCH

Avri Doria: but i am ok with the idea

Evan Leibovitch: I thought we were not talking implementation?

Avri Doria: Humanitarian Organization Clearing House?

Evan Leibovitch: Do yopu want me to speak to it more?

Avri Doria: Special Organization Clearing House

Avri Doria: Modified RPMs is something I think could be 'sold' to my constituency/SG. blocking is not. (caveats on the fact that I have not tried to make the sale yett, and thius am only speaking personally)

Osvaldo Novoa: All, sorry but I have to leave for another meeting. Best regards

Greg Shatan: IGOTCHA = International Governmental (and Nongovernmental) Organization Clearing House Annex

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): a very enthusiastic +1 to IGOTCHA Greg

Avri Doria: I have to admit IGOTCHA sound appropriate.

Berry Cobb: http://www.igotcha.com/

Avri Doria: LOL

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): awww man. back to the drawing board.

Avri Doria: .org is also avaialble.

Avri Doria: no it is not. it is parked

Avri Doria: sure fact to face good.

Avri Doria: face to face rather. though fact to face might be god

Kiran Malancharuvil/Jim Bikoff (IOC): Thanks Thomas

Chuck Gomes: Thanks Thomas.

Mary Wong: Thanks!

Gisella Gruber-White: Thank you all
