Dear Amrita,
The issue is that we can’t keep the name “Internet Society Afghanistan” as an accredited ALS, because the chapter is closed and doesn’t exist anymore.
We have two alternatives to move forward:
If the members of the ALS are continuing their activities under a different organization, they can re-apply to become an accredited ALS under their new name.
Or, if the members are continuing their activities, they can apply to become an UIM.
In both scenarios, we need to de-accredit Internet Society Afghanistan asap. Please kindly approve.
Thank you very much for already approving the de-accreditation of Internet Society Korea Chapter. I’ll move forward with the next steps.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Yeşim Sağlam

Hi Yesim,
The ISOC Afghanistan has been working in their own way in Afghanistan - I will check with Ghayoor on the same.
I am ok with de-accredation of ISOC South Korea Chapter, since we have never been able to reach them.
Regards
Amrita

Dear Amrita,
Yesterday, I received an e-mail from my ISOC Community Compliance and Governance Specialist contact, with a list of no longer active ISOC chapters.
There are two in APRALO: Internet Society Korea Chapter (222) & Internet Society Afghanistan (253)
I need your approval to start the de-accreditation process for these two ALSes.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
