• The objective of the 2017 Advice is to foster inclusive and informed participation.
• ICANN org Information Transparency Initiative (ITI) is the preferred implementation method for the joint Advice, the GAC and ALAC believe that further work must be done. They look forward to continuing discussions with the ICANN Board and org.
• DNS abuse should have a working definition that includes what types of security threats ICANN org considers within its remit. 
• The ALAC believes that implementation of relevant consensus policies as well as the completion of community work like Applicant Support need to finish before the launch of the new gTLD program.
• The ALAC has begun a prioritization exercise to review outstanding recommendations such as the Competition, Consumer Trust and Consumer Choice Review Team (CCTRT) recommendations related to metrics and the relevant DNS abuse approved policy development process recommendations.
• The GAC and ALAC both understand that Contracted Party contract negotiations is a first step on the journey to mitigate DNS abuse. The more precision and focus given to areas of DNS abuse the higher the probability for success.

• The GAC and the ALAC will continue discussions regarding the 2017 joint Advice, and aligned views on DNS abuse between now and ICANN77.

The ICANN Board has officially begun the process to search for and select ICANN’s next President and Chief Executive Officer. The Search Committee has been established, and one of its first tasks is to develop a candidate profile and job description. For this, the Committee is seeking input from the ICANN community and other organizations in the Internet ecosystem through a series of Listening Sessions with the ICANN Board. This first session, facilitated by the Committee, will provide a forum for community members to share their views on ICANN’s future, its challenges and opportunities ahead, and the attributes of the next ICANN leader.

There was a discussion on how to proceed with finalizing the LACRALO statement:

• Option 1 (27 votes): Members to read the declaration, with no final decision made. Once the statement is final, there will be a virtual vote to ratify the statement. 
• Option 2 (9 votes): Approve the statement as-is, with general points, and send to translation for consistency.

Next steps:

The GA will remain open virtually ("suspended, entrar en receso" and re-opened). The GA will reconvene to approve the vote virtually via online vote. The vote will need to meet quorum for a virtual vote (at least 50% of active ALSes). 

• Once the statement is complete, ICANN org staff will send the declaration for translation services into French, English, and Portuguese.
