At-Large Activities at the 2023 Universal Acceptance Day
Universal Acceptance (UA) Day will be held on 28 March 2023.
UA Day is an opportunity to rally local, regional, and global communities and organizations around the world to spread general UA awareness and to encourage UA adoption with key stakeholders.
The day will consist of UA training, awareness, and strategy sessions held by the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG), ICANN, global partners, and regional and local organizations.
The ALAC and At-Large community will be working with the UASG, RALOs, ALSes and individual members around the world to promote the end users benefits of UA and encourage the adoption of UA at the local and regional levels.
Suggested multi-pronged approach to the At-Large 2023 UA Day activities:

ALAC Level | Social Media campaigns |
Cross-RALO Level | Organization of a cross RALO online discussion to deliberate on what has been done in each RALO so far to promote UA, what challenges are foreseen and how to take it forward. The UA ambassadors from the region who may be part of ALSes could be encouraged to come and share on the first part, while the way ahead could be discussed by RALO heads. |
RALO Level | Videos, infographics can be created and for that can apply for UA funding. This could be done in collaboration with the regional GSE team. |
ALS Level | Local level activities by ALSes can be encouraged. There are presentations, speakers available from the UASG team for this. For venue and other costs ALSes can be encouraged to ask for funds. This can also be done in coordination with the GSE team |

PLEASE NOTE: The UASG is offering expert support and financial support to hold local, national and regional events. The presentations are available to use at your event. The deadline for funding support requests is 31 January 2023. More details are available on the UASG UA 2023 website.

The Annual Universal Acceptance Day is a global multi-stakeholder event aimed at raising awareness of UA. It is organized in collaboration by ISOC Quebec and PointQuébec, with the support of the Universal Acceptance Steering Group and ICANN.
