Rossella Mattioli – (NCSG)

I worked for over 9 years in one of the largest financial groups in Italy, where I held the position of Intranet manager. While working there I developed a higher knowledge of themes such as networks governance and online communities since I was in charge of defining policies for the whole virtual workspace (Intranet//Internet/Unified communications) and managing  240 publishers, 24 communities and over 6,000 employees.
At the same time I further consolidated my interest for Internet governance, focusing on subjects such as Internet security and stability, critical Internet resources and early warning systems.
For these reasons in 2010, after I graduated with a thesis about Internet governance and security issues, I relocated in Estonia to attend the international Master in Cyber Security jointly run by Tallinn University of Technology and Tartu University.
My research topics include Internet global operational security, governance issues related to critical information infrastructures and transnational incident management in particular regarding DNS and BGP.
At the time of writing I am currently working on a BGP security mechanisms assessment for a 6 weeks summer internship at Freie Universitat in Berlin before going back to Estonia to complete my degree.
