Adobe Connect Chat Transcript:
Berry Cobb 2: Welcome to the Locking of a Domain Name Subject to UDRP Proceedings working group on 16 August 2012 at 1400 UTC
Michele Neylon: good afternoon
Michele Neylon: I better not post anything here - it'll end up being posted to the entire list and archived for eternity *sniff*
Glen de Saint Gery: Good afternoon Michele!
Michele Neylon: hi
Gabriela Szlak: Hello
Berry Cobb 2: http://www.icann.org/en/news/public-comment/udrp-locking-25jul12-en.htm
Matt Schneller: Ems Dispatch, if memory serves
Michele Neylon: http://forum.icann.org/lists/udrp-locking/
Berry Cobb: I will start a first draft modeled off one used in IRTP-C
Michele Neylon: cool
Gabriela Szlak: there´s no vacations in the latin world this month!!!
Gabriela Szlak: :(
Kristine Dorrain: the US has a long weekend over the first weekend in Sept--some folks extend it on either side.
Matt Schneller: folks who have a general preference but no specific comment just want to use the agree/disagree status symbols?
Michele Neylon: guess so
Gabriela Szlak: maybe we need a legal plus a technical definition, and to have both to be coherent in terms of practical purposes
Matt Schneller: I agree too, Michele. Practical impact seems much more important than prescribing specific technical status
Gabriela Szlak: Matt can you clarify what is a agree/disagree status symbol? (sorry, is the +1? you refer to?)
Matt Schneller: (Gabriela, the hand-raise little icon at the top of your Adobe Connect room window drops down and "agree" and "disagree" are two options)
Gabriela Szlak: ohhh thanks!
Gabriela Szlak: :)
Matt Schneller: Alan - is the assumption that there won't be any registries that are as slow to react as the least-responsive registrars?
Alan Greenberg: ANswered verbally, but for the chat record, I was talking about an Internet based request being sent to the registry by the provider and that request woulod be handled by computer without manual intervention.
Gabriela Szlak: I would like to se a udrp provider definition and a registrar definition and compare them, would that too much to ask?
