Online Training Courses
A set of five ATLAS III Prep courses related to ICANN are required to complete the ATLAS III application.
The ATLAS III Prep courses are:
2. Introduction to the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO)
3. Onboarding: Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO)
4. Onboarding: Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC)
All five required ATLAS III Prep courses must be completed before the ATLAS III application deadline of 31 May 2019 to qualify for consideration to participate in ATLAS III.
There are two options to complete these required courses:
OPTION ONE is through ICANN Learn (https://learn.icann.org); where these courses are available only in English. Use enrollment key ATLASIII to be automatically enrolled in the pre-selected curriculum.
OPTION TWO is through ATLAS III Webinars conducted real-time in multiple languages. While the exact dates and times for each Live Webinar will be announced separately, they will all be conducted prior to the end of the ATLAS III application period.

SCHEDULING:
The Webinars will be held between 22nd April and 20th May 2019 in English with French and Spanish interpretation.

IMPORTANT:
To meet the attendance requirements for ATLAS III, participants must join the Adobe Connect Room and the FR or ES ADIGO audio channel for the non English speakers, no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.

The ATLAS III Prep courses on ICANN Learn may be accessed through logging onto ICANN Learn (https://learn.icann.org).

ICANN Learn Prep Course Curriculum:
1. Domain Names Demystified -
- In this course we will review terminology used to describe domain names, provide answers to common questions about domain names and help you to get familiar with the process of registering a domain name.
2. Introduction to the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO)
- In this course we will review terminology used to describe domain names, provide answers to common questions about domain names and help you to get familiar with the process of registering a domain name.
3. Onboarding: Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO)
- This ccNSO course provides an in-depth look at the ccNSO’s role in supporting Country Code Top Level Domains (ccTLDs) and its place within the ICANN ecosystem. In this course, you will also learn about key contributors within the ccNSO as well as the ccNSO ICANN support staff.
4. Onboarding: Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC)
- This onboarding course presents the role and function of the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) in the ICANN ecosystem. In this course, you will learn about GAC working groups and the role of GAC Advice to the ICANN Board. You will learn the purpose and operation of the Policy Development Processes (PDPs) within the GAC as well as where to get more information about the GAC and its activities.
5. Cybersecurity Basics
- This course introduces cybersecurity terms and explains the importance of cybersecurity to end users. In the course you will learn about online safety, how to assess risks and protect your information, as well as the basics of cryptography.
