NPOC Events:

NPOC Sessions at recent ICANN meetings:

NPOC held three meetings at the recent ICANN 47 Public Meeting in Durban, South Africa:

  1. NPOC´s Session on "Democratization of Internet Governance I-Inform Alliance Plan of Action" on July 17, 2013

  2. NPOC Constituency Meeting on July 16, 2013. 

  3. NPOC´s meeting with the Second Accountability and Transparency Review Team (ATRT2) on July 16, 2013.

NPOC held three sessions at the ICANN 46 Public Meeting in Beijing, China:

  1. “The role of youth in the DNS” on April 11, 2013.
  2. “The Impact of new generic Top level Domains on NGO’s and NFP´s” on April 10, 2013.
  3. NPOC Constituency Meeting on April 9, 2013.


NPOC held two sessions at the ICANN 45 Public Meeting in Toronto, Canada:

  1. “The Multistakeholder model from the NGO´s perspective”, NPOC Workshop, October 17, 2012.
  2. NPOC´s Constituency Meeting on October 16, 2012.

NPOC-sponsored events at other international venues:

  • NPOC, in collaboration with its member GKP Foundation, held a workshop on the i-Inform Alliance at the WSIS Forum 2013 edition in Geneva, Switzerland on May 16, 2013.  Read the outcome document here!

  • NPOC co-organized a panel session at 2012 Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Baku. With the support of  ICANN, three members of NPOC ́s Executive Committee attended the  Internet Governance Forum from 6-9 November that took place in 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Cintra Sooknanan, NPOC Vice Chair, Marie laure Lemineur, Chair of the Program Committee and Poncelet O. Ileleji, Vice Chair of the Program Committee organized and delivered a side session titled "Why is the participation of the social sector in the Internet Governance important for everybody”.

    The NPOC elections closed July 9, 2013.  The term of the executive committee is 12 months starting on July 10, 2013.
    Our executive committee is identified below.  For more information about the specific responsibilities of each position, please refer to the NPOC Charter.
