I am an ICT consultant and what is interesting for me is the diversity within ICANN and I feel it is not being exploited to its maximum. I was really excited when I saw the creation of this cultural awareness program.  and I am looking forward to learning from these cultures and bringing the best of them together at ICANN.

  Ihtisham Khalid:Helloe everyone, I am Ihtisham Khalid (25 years of age) from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. I am from the faculty of National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan. I am also an "Internet of Rights Fellow" with Article 19 team digital for 2017-2018 cohort and I am working in IEEE 802.11 WiFi working group with emphasis on human rights considerations mainly security and privacy by design. I have been to many countries but have not stayed at any place for an year. Looking to have a purposeful learning experience with the program host and participants.

  judith Hellerstein:Judith Hellerstein, from the US and have a masters in Public Policy Management.  I am an ICT4D researcher and work on policy,regulatory and internet governance issues. I have over twenty years experience in developing policies, regulations, building regulatory capacity, strategy development, broadband build out, e-Government assessment, regulatory reform, competition law. I work to help find out of the box solutions for clients.  I am very interested in learning about different cultures and understanding them so that we can work closer with each other and have a better understanding of issues. Also to avoid misunderstandings if we have a better understanding of cultural issues which can cause problems in our conversations.  I am very much interested celebraitng diversity and learning from every one

  Glenn McKnight:As per background   i graduated with a Masters in Social Anthropoogy with an on how technology impacts small group socieites with a major focus on Native Canadians( Indian)  and involved in appropriate technology with BAYGEN Radio from South Africa and the roll out of the KINKMEDIA  net book computer.  Major  business exchange in China with  US and Canadian companies to have environmental technology transfer.  Very active since 2009 with the IEEE Humanitarian and the IEEE SIGHT committees to promote humanitarian technology solutions ie. Off the Grid power, MESH networks etc

  Javier Rúa-Jovet:I am a former Puerto Rican public servant and telecoms regulator and currently focus as a private consultant on energy, telecoms/ICT, public-interest, legal and government affairs. I am fully bilingual (Spanish is my mother tongue, English is my second language).I was initially in the field of natural resources, environmental and now also focus on ICTs in general & energy.I learnt about ICANN originally as Chair of REGULATEL (Latin American Forum of Telecommunications Regulators), an observer organization at GAC. I am now ALAC member for North America (NomCom selected), and an individual NARALO member. As REGULATEL Chair, I helped established a formal MOU relationship between Latin American Regulators and ICANN, signed by former CEO/President Chehade. Also active within VirtualEduca, an Organization of American States program on Internet//education best practices and CANTO, the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations. Education: BA, Boston College, JD, University of Puerto Rico School of Law, LL.M (Public International Law and Comparative Law) in George Washington University, studies in European Community in University of Leuven and Human Rights in University of Barcelona.
