Alan Greenberg:No voice yet, but hello
Alan Greenberg:Ellen is nice too!
Maureen HILYARD:What committee was that?
Siranush Vardanyan:hi, all
Alan Greenberg:Back
Maureen HILYARD:Perhaps we need 15 minutes at each end of the meeting so we can start on time?
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:sorry this meeting was unconfirmed in my agenda hence I'm having dinner at the same time
Maureen HILYARD:Sorry.. my quirky sense of humour this hour of the morning
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I'll listen in but am unlikely to be able to speak
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:OCL = 0.5. I might try 0.75
Holly Raiche:@OCL - enjoy your dinner
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I might speak with a full mouth
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:LOL
Maureen HILYARD:Oh please no!
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:you'll have to stuff more than just food in my mouth to shut me up :-)
Ariel Liang:Draft charter can also be downloaded here: https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/download/attachments/96929666/ALAC%20Review%20Working%20Group%20Charter%20Draft%20Rev1.docx?version=1&modificationDate=1448288121000&api=v2
Aída Noblia:Hello everyone
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:Hi Aida
Alan Greenberg:"a lot of hours" is relative. this will be a piece of cake compared to some of our other endeavours recently (such as CWG/CCWG).
Larisa Gurnick:In terms of providing an indication of how much time would be involved for Working Party members, it may be useful to look at the work of the GNSO Review Working Party, which was formed in May 2014.
Larisa Gurnick:https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/GR2/pages/105906195/Working+Party+Meetings - listing of meetings of the GNSO Review Working Party
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:ALAC also sets or approves all our Charters
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:indeed Alan a lot to you, OCL and even me is rather different
Siranush Vardanyan:thanks for clarifications
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member: re the hours though I would propose the X factor on time be replaced with "an expectation for at least weekly meetings
Alan Greenberg:It is not a requirement of the At-Large Community. It is a fact of live.
Alan Greenberg:Diversity, that is.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:so. experience with volunteerism and further assessment experience of voluntary 'workforces'
Maureen HILYARD:I think volunteerism is a very important issue if they are looking at At Large..
Alan Greenberg:We have a hard stop in 20 minutes.
Terri Agnew:checking for line
Aída Noblia:lo que quería decir es que estoy de acuerdo con lo que se ha dicho. No me funcionó el audio
Wolf Ludwig:Strange noice in the call ...
Gisella Gruber:Sorry that was Aida\s lie
Gisella Gruber:line
Wolf Ludwig:Uff -- glad that it wasn't mine ;-)
Aída Noblia:solo que estoy de acuerdo, no tengo audio
Aída Noblia:Me parece que está bien que haya una referencia en los Estatutos a esto último que se plantea,
Wolf Ludwig:This factor is absolutely crucial!
Larisa Gurnick:In terms of who the IE should interview, at this point, what we need is an approximate count of interviews
Wolf Ludwig:Imprtant question: What are the handicaps for little ALAC engagement by many ALSes?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:agree with you Alan
Maureen HILYARD:What about some ALSes who are no longer members? why did they leave? Do we have exit procedures?
Wolf Ludwig:Those ALSes which were decertified by / at EURALO couldn't give you much infos -- as they were *never* involved ...
Maureen HILYARD:The survey should match the questions that we are including in our Charter
Maureen HILYARD:@Wolf - it seems so strange that someone goes through that long process and then doesn't get involved at all..
Maureen HILYARD:Its one of the reasons we suggested that people should have a pre-registration workshop/webinar to learn about what the expectations are
Wolf Ludwig:That's strange indeed but was the case for 3 out of 4 ALSes decertified.
Siranush Vardanyan:agree with Wolf and that wascthe reason why they were dissaffiliated. so not too much can be expected from them
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:agree with you Wolf
Maureen HILYARD:@Wolf.. we might discover that the ALS had locally been derigistered..
Larisa Gurnick:Ideally, it would be useful for IE to contact ALSes that are no longer a part of the structure, to get their perspective.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:and the issues can be eased out via interview with Leadership of RALOs like you
Larisa Gurnick:@Wolf - thank you - useful observation
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:thanks everyone talk again soon no doubt...
Siranush Vardanyan:thanks all and bye for now
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:bye for now...
Larisa Gurnick:Thank you all for taking time to provide this useful feedback
Aída Noblia:Thanks everyone . Bye all
Maureen HILYARD:Thanks everyone
Cheryl Langdon-Orr - ALAC APRegional Member:bye
