AFRALO ACTIVITY REPORT - MAY 2014
AFRALO’s main activities of May 2014 are following:
The Final Preparations for At-Large Summit ATLAS II and AFRALO General Assembly
Monthly activities in May 2014 were focused on last minutes preparations and outreach activities for participation of AFRALO ALSes in ATLAS II. A working group "The At-Large Summit II Working Group (ATLAS II)" for the the Organization of the At-Large Summit at ICANN 50 meeting to be held in London in June 2014. This working group composed of AFRALO members work with the team of ICANN staff on the budget Plan as well as on the logistics of the Summit: Representing AFRALO are: Tijani BEN JEMAA, Victor NDONNAG, Pastor Peters OMORAGBON, Baudoiin Schombe and BERAN Gillen.

Capacity Building WEBNARS for ATLAS II
In preparation for the At Large Summit II, several ALSes participated in seven Pre-ATLAS II Capacity building Webnars: four held in the month of April and Five in the month of May 2014

Theme of the joint AFRALO - AfrICANN in LONDON
A call for proposal for a theme for a Joint AFRALO/AfrICANN Meeting was sent out to members of the African Community, however, due to the tight schedule for the ICANN 50, ATLAS and General Assembly of RALOs, the Joint Meeting was canceled in order to allot time for AFRALO General Assembly: https://community.icann.org/display/als2/AFRALO+General+Assembly+2014-06-25
AFRALO at the African Internet Summit
Approved Traveller from AFRALO under the framework of CROPP: Tjani Ben jemaa particpated in the African Internet Summit (AIS). This Summit was aimed at bringing under one roof all the Internet actors in Africa to discuss ICT issues and challenges. The Summit provides attendees and participants with a platform to share and spread Internet-related knowledge pertinent to the African region. New ALS Application
AFRALO has received three New ALS Applications seeking accreditatiron as ICANN At Large Structures and to become Members of AFRALO:
- Open Source Software Foundation for Africa (OFSON, Nigeria)
- ISOC Tchad
- ISOC Mauriutus

Activités principales d’AFRALO mai 2014 sont les suivantes :
PREPARATION FINALE DU SOMMET AT-LARGE ATLAS II ET de l’ASSEMBLEE GENERALE d’AFRALO
Les préparatifs finaux du mois de mai 2014 ont porté sur La sensibilisation pour la participation des ALSes d’AFRALO au sommet ATLAS II et à la participation dans le groupe de travail « At-Large sommet II Groupe de travail (ATLAS II) » pour le l'organisation du sommet At-Large à l'ICANN 50. Ce groupe de travail composé des membres AFRALO a travaillé avec l'équipe du personnel de l'ICANN sur le budget ainsi que sur la logistique du sommet : AFRALO était représenté par : Tijani BEN JEMAA, Victor NDONNAG, Pasteur Peters Diablo, Baudouin Schombe et Beran Gillen.

LES WEBINAIRES DE RENFORCEMENT DES CAPACITES POUR ATLAS II
En prévision du Sommet d’ATLAS II, plusieurs ALS ont participé à sept pré -ATLAS II Webinaires de renforcement des capacités : quatre ont eu lieu au mois d'avril et cinq au mois de mai 2014

LE THEME DE LA REUNION CONJOINTE AFRALO / AFRICANN A LONDRES
Un appel à proposition du thème pour une réunion conjointe d’AFRALO/AfrICANN a été envoyé aux membres de la communauté de l'Afrique, cependant, en raison du calendrier serré de l'ICANN 50, ATLAS II et l'Assemblée Générale des RALO, la réunion a été annulée afin d'allouer plus de temps à l'Assemblée générale d’AFRALO

AFRALO AU SOMMET AFRICAIN D’INTERNET (AFRICAIN INTERNET SUMMIT)
Dans le cadre du Projet CROPP, TJANI BENJEMAA a participé au Sommet africain d’Internet (SAI). Ce sommet a réuni tous les acteurs de l'Internet en Afrique pour discuter et débattre des défis et enjeux des TIC dans la région. Le sommet a été une plateforme pour partager et diffuser les connaissances pertinentes liées à l'Internet pour la région africaine. Une Session d’ AFRALO s'est tenue sous le thème : ICANN New Season: A Home for Everyone.

NOUVELLE DEMANDES POUR ACCREDITATION EN TANT QUE ALS
AFRALO a reçu trois nouvelles Applications pour accréditation en tant que Structures At-Large au sein d’AFRALO :
