The first part of the Empirical Assessment has been completed and is a paper called ICANN in Oceania which is still version 1.1 and can be edited. It's purpose is to inform us of the status quo. The second part is to roll out a quick survey, preferably via Survey Monkey to inform us of what the stakeholders want. This should not stop us from going ahead with the planning and dialogue as the Survey results can be harvested when we are ready to start drafting the Strategy.
The Draft Survey is copied below. The format has changed somehow in copying it from the Word document to the Wiki. Suffice to say, when it is translated to Survey Monkey, it will look cleaner, and less voluminous than what it actually is, which is ticking boxes although I have left room for them to leave their views if they have something else to add. Please feel free to add your thoughts to this current version:

Background
The Survey is intended to identify what stakeholders would like to see factored into the development of an ICANN Strategy for Oceania. Stakeholders being targeted are the members of the ICT community in Oceania. The idea for the Survey is to enable the ICANN Oceania Working Group who is tasked under the Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) to develop the Regional Strategy for Oceania. This will only take a few minutes of your time and your participation is significant. Please answer all the questions as they will assist us in mapping the priority areas.
