14:30-15:30 UTC | The Post-Pandemic Future of ICANN Public Meetings Over the past year, ICANN has focused on innovation in its virtual events to facilitate continued participation and engagement from around the world, and now, we are also beginning to consider what meetings will look like in the future when it is safe to gather in-person. ICANN org is now conducting a survey to determine individual comfort and tolerance for gatherings amongst ICANN Meeting participants and investigate the possibility of organizing ICANN72 as a hybrid meeting with virtual and in-person attendance in Seattle. In this session, ICANN org will share results from the survey and have an open dialogue with community representatives to discuss ways to optimize virtual participation and ensure hybrid meetings are inclusive in the future. |
