Introduction

The Internet Society (ISOC) India Bengaluru Chapter is a regional chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC), a globally recognized nonprofit organization established in 1992. ISOC is dedicated to the open development, evolution, and secure use of the Internet to benefit individuals and communities worldwide. Through its expertise in Internet standards, policy advocacy, capacity building, and education, ISOC plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape. By working closely with policymakers, technical communities, businesses, and civil society, the organization ensures that the Internet remains open, accessible, and trustworthy for all.

The ISOC Bengaluru Chapter, founded in June 2010, the ISOC Bengaluru Chapter is an active and dynamic community focused on enhancing Internet accessibility, digital literacy, and cybersecurity awareness. It brings together a diverse group of technology professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and digital rights advocates to address regional Internet challenges and foster inclusive digital policies. Through collaborations, awareness programs, and advocacy efforts, the chapter is committed to bridging the digital divide and creating a more inclusive, secure, and innovative Internet ecosystem in India.
