At ICANN84, the ccNSO will host a series of sessions focused on key issues relevant to the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) community. Select sessions will feature simultaneous interpretation to support broader participation and deeper information-sharing.
Saturday, 25 and Sunday, 26 October
Over the weekend, various ccNSO working groups and committees will hold working sessions. The sessions are open to all with an interest, unless noted otherwise.
Saturday, 25 October
IANA Data Accuracy (BoF): Explore scope and next steps for a study on ccTLD data accuracy.
DASC (DNS Abuse Standing Committee): Develop FY26–27 work plan, set priorities, and define objectives.
IGLC (Internet Governance Liaison Committee): Advance work plan and set priorities for ccTLD engagement in Internet Governance.
Study Group on Disaster Recovery: Refine scope and issues regarding IANA’s potential role in ccTLD disaster recovery.
UAC–GAC UA Joint Session: Coordinate efforts to enhance Universal Acceptance readiness and strengthen collaboration on UA and IDNs.
Sunday, 26 October
ccNSO Council Prep Meeting: Preparations for the 222nd Council meeting.
TLD-OPS (Closed): Standing Committee session to review ongoing security operations and planning.
TLD-OPS (Open): Community session on strengthening ccTLDs’ ability to detect and mitigate security incidents.
SOPC (Strategic & Operational Planning Committee): Session with ICANN Finance & Planning to provide ccTLD input into strategic and budgetary processes.
GRC (Guidelines Review Committee) (Invite only) – Parts 1 & 2: Two-block workshop on implementing the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) from the ATRT3 Review.
Monday, 27 October
Tech Day, open to all ICANN community members, will cover technical, operational, and security topics, including a Domain Name abuse session by the ccNSO DNS Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) on the use of Artificial Intelligence tools.
Tuesday, 28 October
