I participated as a Fellow at ICANN75 (Kuala Lumpur, 2022) and ICANN78 (Hamburg, 2023), receiving the Tarek Kamel Fellowship Recognition Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to capacity-building activities in the region.

In the area of training, I have delivered the Internet Governance course on the Learning @ Internet Society platform and, since 2023, I deliver the Introduction to Network Operations course, which includes practical DNS content such as the installation, configuration, and testing of recursive DNS servers.

I am also the author of a book chapter on the implementation of Universal Acceptance in Mexican universities, with a focus on digital inclusion and equitable access to the Internet from an end-user perspective.

Within the higher education context, I contribute through CEDIIES to capacity-building and awareness-raising initiatives related to Universal Acceptance, Internet Governance and DNS security best practices, including DNSSEC, in coordination with academic and technical communities aligned with ICANN efforts.

In addition, I participated as a panelist at IGF 2024 (Riyadh) in the workshop WS148 “Making the Internet Greener and More Sustainable”, contributing to international discussions on Internet Governance.

Across these activities, my academic and training interests focus on the analysis of risks, impacts, and mitigation mechanisms associated with the misuse of critical Internet infrastructures, with particular attention to the DNS, from a public policy, governance, and end-user protection perspective, complementing predominantly technical approaches.
