2026 Special Election for APRALO-selected ALAC Member
As Justine Chew has tendered her resignation effective 22 October 2026 from the APRALO-selected ALAC position due to her being seated on the ICANN Board as the At-Large selected Board Director at the end of the AGM2026, a Special Election is being held to select her replacement for the remaining one year of her current term (AGM2026-AGM2027).
ALAC Selection Timetable for 2026 APRALO-Selected ALAC Member*
20 July 2026 - Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement.
20 July – 31 July 2026 - Nomination period (nominations accepted for 10 working days).
7 August 2026 - Deadline for nomination acceptances. Candidate statements should be submitted no later than 10 August 2026.
11 August 2026 - Call with the candidates
12 August – 19 August 2026 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than two weeks after that deadline).
2026 AGM [ ICANN87] - Newly elected APRALO-selected ALAC Member for the term 2026AGM-2027 AGM shall be seated at the end of the 2026 AGM following the close of the Board Meeting on 22 October 2026.
