Network Operations Engineer

I work as a Datacom Network Operations Engineer with Huawei on a managed Network Operations Centre owned by Galaxy Backbone Limited, Abuja, Nigeria.

It is an IP level-1 role. I monitor the availability and performance of IP networks in collaboration with colleagues at the OSN and Power terminals. Here, we diagnose faults directly as either fiber, IP or power outage before escalating to the necessary station.

We have an MTTR of 4 hours for any fault as per the SLA. Generally, I troubleshoot, configure and support.
