Public - anyone can see who voted but not how they voted 

LACRALO Rules of Procedure 

Rule: Section 15 ROPs : Quorum for virtual voting: All virtual votes will require a quorum of at least 50% of active ALSes. The quorum is calculated by dividing the number of validity cast votes, including abstentions, if there are any, by the number of active ALSes in the region. 

ES: Sección 15 ROP Toda votación virtual requerirá un quórum de por lo menos 50% de las ALS activas . El quórum se calcula usando los votos válidamente emitidos, incluyendo las “abstenciones” en el caso que las haya, dividido entre el número de ALS activas en la región.

An electorate can only make one choice from the possible vote answers.

Section 13: ...In case of a virtual vote, voting shall be carried out in a manner that ensures transparency throughout the whole election process. Specifically:

• ICANN staff will share before each election the spreadsheet that calculates weighted voting.
• The list of ALSes that voted will be made public;
• There will always be an option to vote anonymously.

Section 16: Calculations of majorities: A plurality of the validity cast weighted votes determines the winner. A plurality is when a candidate proposition gets more weighted  votes than any other. Abstentions will not count in the calculation of the plurality. However, the LACRALO Secretary will report the number of abstentions when reporting the election results.   

Seccion 16: Cálculo de mayorías: Una mayoría simple de los votos válidamente emitidos y ponderados determina el ganador. Una mayoría simple se da cuando un candidato o proposición obtiene más votos ponderados que cualquier otro. Las abstenciones no contarán en el cálculo de la mayoría simple. Sin embargo, el secretario de LACRALO reportará el número de abstenciones cuando informa sobre los resultados de la elección.

Section 13: ...Si la votación se da en forma virtual, la votación ser hará por un medio que garantice la transparencia del proceso electoral. Especificamente:

• El personal de la ICANN compartirá antes de cada elección, la planilla que calcula la ponderación de votos;
• Se hará pública la lista de ALS que votaron;
• Siempre habra una opción para votar en forma anónima.

Section 14 - Election tie: If after the election process, there is no winner, a second ballot shall be carried out among tied candidates; if the tie still remains after this second ballot, the chair and the secretary shall carry out a draw in a framework of transparency.

ES: Seccion 14: Empate : Si luego del proceso electoral el resultado no arroja un solo ganador, se hará un nuevo llamado donde participaran aquellos que han empatado, si del resultado de este segundo acto eleccionario el empate perdura, esto se resolverá en un sorteo que impulsará el presidente y secretario en un marco de transparencia.

Once a vote has been casted in Tally, change is not allowed.
