Charter

On 25 August 2025, ICANN Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs) submitted a final charter to the ICANN Board Chair. The charter is the result of collaborative work between the leaders of SOs and ACs. A first draft was sent to SO/AC Leaders on 30 July 2025, subject to formal approval from SOs and ACs.

All ICANN SO/ACs appointed two members to the Review of Reviews Cross Community Group, signaling approval of charter per a provision that “by nominating members to the CCG, a Nominating Group will be deemed to support the charter”.

The ICANN Board Chair communicated on 5 August 2025 that the ICANN Board will consider the charter for approval.

The Board passed a resolution effective on 5 September 2025 by unanimous consent and without a meeting to:

1. approve the Charter as presented to the Board on 25 August 2025;

2. appoint James Galvin and León Sanchez to serve as members of the Reviews CCG, in accordance with the Board of Directors Code of Conduct;

3. thank ICANN’s Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, and their leaders, for the collaborative work to develop a community dialogue on ICANN Reviews.
