1) Nominations must be made directly to the NARALO mailing list; 

2) Nominations must also be posted to the 2023 ALAC and RALO Elections, Selections and Appointments workspace or sent by email to At-Large staff

The process for accepting nominations is as follows:

1) Nominees must submit their Acceptances as described above.

2) Nominees must complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspaceand confirm that they meet the qualifications for candidacy.

3) Nominees are also expected to submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate.

NARALO Rules 6.4 - The Chair shall determine the date of the election  - timed, if possible, to complete prior to the ICANN meeting preceding the AGM.

6.4.1 Thirty (30) days in advance of the date of the election, for all open positions, the Chair shall issue a call for nominations (including self-nominations) for Individual members and members of ALS to serve as a member of the ALAC, to be recommended as a delegate to the NomCom and to fill the Chair or the Secretariat position. The nomination period shall be no fewer than 10 working days.

6.4.2 The acceptance period shall be open for at least seven (7) days. Candidates shall confirm that they meet the qualifications for candidature. Self-nominations are deemed to have been accepted. All accepted candidates must complete an At-Large Statement of Interest.

6.2 NARALO's ALAC members shall normally be limited to no more than three (e) consecutive terms, but in cases where the first term is filling a mid-term vacancy and that the remaining term is no more than 16 months, a fourth term is allowed. This rule on term limits may be waived by NARALO Leadership upon request by the term-limited NARALO ALAC Member, and such a waiver should only be granted for sufficient reason.

6.3 The Nom Com Delegate is limited to two (2) consecutive one-year terms, or whatever term is set forth in the ICANN By-Laws, if different.

**ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE ALAC DELEGATE TO THE NOMCOM: 

The ICANN Bylaws require that the ALAC, in consultation with the RALOs, appoints five voting members of the NomCom, one per ICANN region. Voting members of the NomCom are appointed for a one-year term, starting at the close of the 2023 Annual General Meeting and ending at the 2024 Annual General Meeting, and may be re-appointed for a further term of one year subject to the requirement under the ICANN Bylaws

Voting delegate to the NomCom may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
