The GNSO Futures Discussion Group within the NCPH emerged as the result of a discussion that took place during the NCPH Intersessional in Februrary 2016, in Los Angeles, California.
On Wednesday, 20 April 2016, a few NCPH delegates held an initial call to discuss next steps and define the scope of the group.
This is the initial purpose of this group is to
a.) identify a set of core issues with the current GNSO structure that require attention
b.) identify a range of options that could resolve the issues identified
c.) provide a detailed description on how said proposals could provide an adequate improvement to the GNSO structure and implementation, which can then be considered by the broader ICANN community as part of a wider debate.
This space is currently housed under the NCPH, and is comprised of constituency members from within the NCSG and the CSG.
