Eduardo Diaz:¡Hola a todos!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi all ok for dial out (again!)
Siranush Vardanyan::)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:rubbish
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I'm waiting
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and my line IS clear
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:NOT true
Maureen Hilyard:LOL
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I feed the snakes not the crocks
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:listening in the AC room at least...
Heidi Ullrich:dialing you now
Siranush Vardanyan:good night from my side of the world:)
Nathalie Peregrine:Please all mute your speakers and your phones
Eduardo Diaz:Lots of eco
Heidi Ullrich:Please mute your computer speakers/AC speakers
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:my phone is connected but muted
Heidi Ullrich:Please mute your speakers
Heidi Ullrich:We are still hearing background noise
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:as my wildlife is noisy at this time of day I will admit
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hard enough to get them to respond to one survey let along more than one... I agree
Heidi Ullrich:Should the draft consolidated version be posted in the AC room?
Heidi Ullrich:It is on the agenda
Darlene Thompson:I'M HERE!!!! I'm very sorry that I'm late
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes please Heidi
Heidi Ullrich:HI Darlene!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi Darlene
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:just starting really
Darlene Thompson:Hiya Heidi
Carlos Reyes:The ATLAS II and CBWG Surveys are available on the agenda: https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/display/atlarge/ATLAS+II+Survey+Group+-+2013.09.24
Carlos Reyes:As well as the consolidated draft.
Heidi Ullrich:We are posting the revised version in the AC
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we want the combined version that Tijiani sent around
Heidi Ullrich:Just a moment
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:thanks
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:scroll ?
Nathalie Peregrine:done
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:ta
Heidi Ullrich:can you scroll?
Heidi Ullrich:or did staff double click?
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:are youa ll able to scroll?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we can scroll thanks
Eduardo Diaz:Dharma sent an email a few minutes ago with good comments. Shall we discuss her comments here?
Nathalie Peregrine:i synced Hieid
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes please Edwardo
Darlene Thompson:I volunteer to fill it in - I have the SLOWEST internet on the planet.
Eduardo Diaz:Is this going to be filled-on-line?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:LOL
Darlene Thompson:Hiya Cheryl!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr::-)
Darlene Thompson:Excellent idea
Siranush Vardanyan:consolidated one is the best choice
Siranush Vardanyan:at this point at least
Maureen Hilyard:It helps identify the issues and allows the participants to help to prioritise them
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:online will be best
Maureen Hilyard:I'd think most of our ALSes would prefer online
Maureen Hilyard:in my region anyway
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:ZYes my preference is for BP as well as it is a POWERFUL survey tool this is their main Bread and butter product
Heidi Ullrich:First ATLAS Surveys: https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/atlarge/pages/99553316/At+Large+Summit+I+Surveys
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we use them as a tool to vote but that is a monor feature of their product...
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:e.g. in Sec 3 this can be ordered otr weighted in BP
Siranush Vardanyan:this should be clearly mentioned in the beginning of the explanatory text
Maureen Hilyard:I agree
Eduardo Diaz:Very effective
Maureen Hilyard:+1 Darlene
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:+1 from me as well
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:setting up is easier in SM but analysis is the other way around
Cheryl Langdon-Orr: Staff is going to be busy before and after of course ;-)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:so the more auto the better
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:or asm for a briefong Matt
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:should read ask for a briefing Matt
Heidi Ullrich:The survey needs to be translated into the 5 UN langauges, so there is a bit of time before we can send the survey out
Heidi Ullrich:The same point is for 2.7
Heidi Ullrich:How would we respond to 'mayb'?
Heidi Ullrich:maybe?
Eduardo Diaz:TAke out all the maybes from the survey. Maybes is what wetherpersons use when they predict rain..."Maybe it will rain"
Siranush Vardanyan:we need to have as much clear questions in order to get clear answers, so maybe can be taken out as in many cases as possible
Siranush Vardanyan:this will also dicrease the number of coming back to the same ALS after the survey filling process
Maureen Hilyard:Are we sending this survey to the primary contact? from the ALS site ? Why are we asking for a second contact?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:with an online system you can indeed accept inout from more thn one of the contacts and some RALOs ask for ore than 2 APRALO asks for 3
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:sorry at LEAST 3
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes Other is OK ALl of the above is NOT in a weighted list
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:let them weight the list or rank it that way they CAN have all or only 1
Siranush Vardanyan:I think that some hints can be given, meaning some ideas of concerns will be good
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:in that system OCL youalso NEED to allocate 0 to the rest it also makes people consider more deeply
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:maxed to a N=20
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:or whatever
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:smart systems add up to total and allocate the 0 marks
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I beg to differ it is a common survey tool these days and it is self explanatory once you start doing it
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:NOPE
Maureen Hilyard:We use a 1 to 3 point system for our elections.. its a similar situation for prioritising who wins an election
Maureen Hilyard:Just identifying what our ALSes might be familiar with already
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:you can allocate any nimber of points that can NIT happen Tiajani
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:let's not worry do chep and chearful but spend the time in analysis and make what we can with what we usr
Heidi Ullrich:Suggestion: 2.1/2.2 switch
Siranush Vardanyan:yes
Darlene Thompson:Excellent survey
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:indeed
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:'and a VERY attractive time line indeed :-)
Heidi Ullrich:How many languages is hte survey to be translated in?
Heidi Ullrich:ES/FR or 5 UN languages?
Heidi Ullrich:Eduardo, it will take a week to have the survey translated
Siranush Vardanyan:if we intend to have the analysis also translated into all 6 languages, then maybe it's worth having it in all languages, but I assume that ENG/ES /FR may be enough
Siranush Vardanyan:+1 Tijani
Darlene Thompson:Agreed - 3 languages
Maureen Hilyard:+1
Heidi Ullrich:It may take less as it is a small doc
Heidi Ullrich:when will the survey be in its final form?
Siranush Vardanyan:and we have already it in ENg already, so only two more languages will be needed
Heidi Ullrich:It might take a couple of day
Heidi Ullrich:depending what is in the queue
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:the other advantage woth traslation of a survey is the nature of a well constructed question is easier to translate unabiguosly into ES and FR at least
Darlene Thompson:I volunteer!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Oh goody almost 45 min toi the =next call for this morning and by that I mean since 10 pm local time last evening
Darlene Thompson:I would be happy to be Matt's guinea pig
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:all good thanks all
Siranush Vardanyan:thanks a lot, and thanks Tijani for such a great work, bye all for now
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:bye
Maureen Hilyard:Thanks to Tijani for all his hard work
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:many calls Cheryl. Wow.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:bye all!
Matt Ashtiani:by everyone, have a good day
