Murray McKercher:Public  Relations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. With this definition, ATLAS2 public relations encompasses a rather large potential set of activities. As was raised at the 29May2014 meeting, PR is much more than simply a press release.Today's public relations professional does much more than sit behind a desk faxing out press releases. More than ever, he's the public face of the client. It's the PR professional who organizes community outreach and volunteer programs. It's the PR representative who cultivates relationships with potential investors. And it's the PR executive who goes on the cable TV news program to answer the tough questionsMy goal with this working group is to assist the ICANN At-Large  community to establish a strategic communications process with respect to ATLAS2 that can be used for further engagement by our constituent At Large Structures. At Large is a key component to  ICANN's multi-stakeholder co
Murray McKercher:stakeholder commitment and is a key element in ICANNs mandate. Our key messages have been placed on the web herehttps://www.icann.org/https://www.icann.org/news/blog/at-large-community-to-convene-in-london-for-atlas-iihttp://atlas.icann.org/We do not often agree on issues, however, this part of the process and AT Large Structures should be confident that their voices are being heard, and that the general public also understand the important role of ICANN and it's governance model. In Public Relations clarity is key.  My personal challenge is to communicate key messages with Clarity.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I mean @jin - sorry
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Jim
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:arrgh --- fat fingers today
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I'll speak after Wolf
Sivasubramanian M:Q:  What are the efforts to taken to invite the local IT and other relevant professional community from London city to the At-Large summit?
Evan Leibovitch:No need to get nasty. Look at most of the Thematic Group leaders. Most are very, very familiar with At-Large processes and needs. Each probably needs to meet once privately but I'm not sure this needs to be over-engineered.
Sivasubramanian M:Thanks Olivier, but why did we settle for a room of such a small size for a summit of this nature?
Wolf Ludwig:From next Tuesday 10 June it will be extremely difficult for me because will be fully involved in EuroDIG in Berlin
Heidi Ullrich:we don't even have agendas for the TGs yet :(
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Exactly.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:@Siva: the choice was this small room or the street.
Sivasubramanian M:That is very bad, Olivier, if At-Large had to be forced into such a limitation
Evan Leibovitch:Priority 1 is for the leaders for each TG to have their act together, and to let ALL attendees understand the format. They dynamics of each group are not THAT different.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:@Siva: that's what you get for ICANN's largest meeting ever in the smallest hotel ever. :-)
Glenn McKnight:I need  to leave  very soon
Evan Leibovitch:Some of this will be dealth with in tomorrow's TG call, I would think.
Glenn McKnight:Great  to have  Wolf ,  founder  of the   Internet  Goverance  School
  Glenn McKnight:summer  school
Sivasubramanian M:Thematic Working Groups need to organized with such elaborate preparatory work as assoicated with IGF workshops.  A lot of thought needs to be given to it in terms of panelists and the sub-agenda items for the thematic group topics
Wolf Ludwig:It's "Wolfgang" not "Wolf" -- no confusion ;-)
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:excellent keynote speakers
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:@Evan: but each WG leadership need to push their group. Wolf's super busy next week. Me too. And the thematic groups need to fly by themselves without Wolf or any of the OC Team doignt the work for them
