By Tuesday, 5 February at 18:00 UTC, the Sunrise Sub Team is tasked to focus on reviewing the first four (4) source documents in the ‘Source’ tab of the analysis tool, and provide input in the Google Docs set up for ALL Sunrise Charter Questions. 

• When providing input, please note the source name and page/slide number of the previously collected data.
• For those who have completed reviewing the first four (4) source documents and filling in the google docs, you are welcome to continue tackling the subsequent source documents in the same fashion. 
• By the deadline, the Google Docs will be locked to prevent further editing and their PDFs will be circulated to the Sub Team. Staff will accept and indicate the new input in the Google Doc for the ease of viewing.

1. Updates to Statements of Interest: Kathy Kleiman is a Visiting Scholar to American University.

2. Brief discussion of comments (if any) on the input for the Sunrise Questions already discussed relating to the survey data: Questions 3, 4, 5(b), and 6:

Question on Sunrise Charter Question 4 re: ability to change certain things in a subsequent round of a TLD.  What is in scope for RPMs and what is not?  for example, pricing might be more in scope for the SubPro PDP WG. 

3. Begin analysis of previously collected data with respect to the Claims Charter Questions:

-- AG Review of TMCH  and INTA Cost Impact Survey -- previously shared with the WG.  WG reviewed the data and met with AG. In August 2017 Lori Schulman of INTA present the results of the survey and the WG asked some questions.

-- Spreadsheet: First tab is the source documents, second/third tabs are excerpts and quotes from the data sources that staff suggests may be helpful in answer the charter questions.  Staff Summary is in column B, but this is not a staff attempt to capture all the information, but to facilitate the review.

2. Proposed Process for Additional Data:

-- Section 5: If any Sub Team or WG members have data that could answer a charter question, or particular expertise, can provide it.

-- Enlarged the window for Individual Proposals -- opening 30 January and closing 20 February.

-- It is not the intention to have WG members do what was originally asked of staff.  Given the work that has been done since the original data suggestions, and given the AG surveys, WG members are being asked to leverage their expertise and knowledge that if there is information out there that we don't already have they should submit it.

Workload:  Pick 2 data sources and try to review all of the charter questions.

--- The marks that Deloitte puts in the TMCH is just marks that have been registered in a jurisdiction -- but Deloitte cannot determine if it is a valid mark, just that it is registered.

-- For the purposes of Sunrise Claims in the TMCH there was a rule in implementation that TM owners could rely on proof of use, but the use is not the same as the kind of use that would make for a valid TM in substantive law.
