New Leadership of AFRALO announced

During the teleconference in November 2013, extended discussions were held on the reports, activities and events that took place during the month of October : Reports on the Internet Governance Forum in Bali, Regional Community Pilot Project, Budget Development process, and the report from the Working Group on the At-large Summit II.
AFRALO held discussions on the activities of ALAC during the month of November, which included the creation of two committees: Board Candidate Evaluation Committee (BCEC) and Board Member Selection Process Committee and Board Candidate Evaluation Committee (BMSPC). AFRALO is represented by Mohamed and Fatimata in BCEC while Tijani and Baudouin in BMSPC. Tijani was chosen as chairman of this committee.
AFRALO also review activities on the preparation for the Second Summit of At‐Large which is expected to take place in London in June 2014.

Statement of the Joint AFRALO/AfrICANN Buenos Aires Meeting
Like the previous meetings and in accordance with strategy of ICANN meetings, an online consultation will be launched by AFRALO to choose a theme for the next AFRALO / AfrICANN joint meeting to be held in Singapore.

AFRALO ACTIVITIES AT ICANN 48 BEUNOS AIRES
AFRALO attended and participated in series of meetings, including: Policy discussions, At-Large working groups Sessions, Capacity Building Working Group Session, meetings with ICANN Board of Directors, joint AFRALO AfrICANN meeting among others at the 48th ICANN Public Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 17-21 November 2013. Representing the community were Madam Sylla Fatimata Seye, Mr. Tijani Ben Jemaa, Mr. Aziz HILALI, Madam Hadja Fatimata Ouattara/Sanon and Mr. Philip F Johnson.

Joint AFRALO/AfrICANN in Buenos Aires
A Joint AFRALO/AfrICANN Statement was discussed and adopted after modifications. The Statement centered on issues on the meetings of the ICANN policy. After internal consultation, the Board of AFRALO gave a favorable opinion for the accreditation Fédération Comorienne des Consommateurs as a new ALS within AFRALO.

Nouveau Leadership AFRALO Annoncé
Au cours de la téléconférence mensuelle AFRALO du mois de Novembre précisément le 6 novembre 2013, Fatimata, Présidente sortante, a annoncé la composition du nouveau leadership d’AFRALO qui prendra fonction à la fin de la 48ème réunion de l'ICANN de Buenos Aires. Elle a également annoncé la liste des membres de l'ALAC entrants et sortants d’AFRALO.
Examen et Discussion des Rapports Présentés par les dirigeants Sortants D’AFRALO
Au cours de la téléconférence de novembre 2013, des discussions élargies ont eu lieu sur les activités et les événements qui ont eu lieu durant le mois d'octobre dernier. Il s’agit du Forum de la Gouvernance de l’Internet qui a eu lieu à Bali, le projet pilote communautaire régional, le processus d'élaboration de Budget et les activités du groupe de travail sur le sommet ATLAS II.
AFRALO a passé en revue également les activités de l'ALAC au cours du mois de novembre, Deux comités ont été crées au sein de l’ALAC: le Comité d'évaluation des Candidats (BCEC) pour la sélection du membre du Board choisi par ALAC et le Comité du processus de sélection du membre du conseil d'administration choisi par At-Large (BMSPC). Mohamed El Bahir et Fatimata ont été nommés pour représenter AFRALO au sein du BCEC et Tijani et Baudouin au sein du BMSPC. Tijani a été choisi président de BMSCP.
AFRALO a également examiné les activités sur les préparatifs du deuxième sommet qui devrait se tenir à Londres en juin 2014.
Thème de la réunion conjointe d’AFRALO/AfrICANN à Buenos Aires
A l’instar des réunions précédentes et conformément à la stratégie des conférences de l'ICANN, une consultation en ligne sera lancée par AFRALO pour choisir un thème pour la prochaine réunion conjointe AFRALO/AfriICANN qui aura lieu à Singapore.

Activités d’AFRALO à ICANN 48 à BUENOS AIRES
Durant la 48ème réunion publique de l’ICANN de Buenos Aires du 17 au 21 novembre 2013; AFRALO a participé a une série de réunions, les discussions sur les politiques, les sesssions élargies des groupes de travail, les sessions de renforcement des capacités des groupes, les réunions avec le Conseil d'administration de l'ICANN, la réunion AFRALO AfrICANN. Ont représenté la Communauté : Madame Sylla Fatimata Seye, M. Tijani Ben Jemaa, M. Aziz HILALI, Madame Hadja OUATTARA/ SANON et M. Philip F Johnson.
La Réunion Conjointe d’AFRALO/AfrICANN à Buenos Aires
Une Déclaration commune d’AFRALO/AfrICANN a été discutée et adoptée après modifications. La déclaration était centrée sur les questions de la stratégie des réunions de l'ICANN. Après des consultations internes, le Conseil d'administration d’AFRALO a donné un avis favorable à l’ALAC pour l'accréditation de la Fédération Comorienne des Consommateurs en tant que nouvelle ALS au sein d’AFRALO.
