At-Large Structures, or "ALSes", are groups throughout the world (either existing organizations or those newly formed for this purpose) focusing on participation by individual Internet users at the local or issue level.  ICANN's At-Large community welcomes interested, qualified groups in all geographic regions to become "At-Large Structures." 

Currently, there are over 125 130 ALSes within each the ICANN geographic region (Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America).  ALSes consist of Internet civil society groups, computer user organizations, Internet Society chapters, consumer advocacy groups, community networking groups, academic and research organizations, and -rofessional societies (e.g. engineers, attorneys, etc.)
